Irregular Cargo Security Application

Background

In logistics, many goods lack standard packaging or regular shapes — such as large equipment, steel coils, bulk materials, and irregular components. These cannot be secured with traditional seals or standard locks. They are often fixed with ropes or nets, leaving them highly vulnerable to cutting, swapping, or unauthorized opening during transit. Real-time monitoring and alerts are typically absent, making damage claims and accountability extremely difficult.

HHDlink's irregular cargo security application provides flexible electronic sealing and in-transit supervision for cargo without standard sealing points.

Solution Overview

This application uses wire rope smart locks to replace traditional methods. The wire rope can be threaded through gaps, straps, or pallet bases, or connect multiple items under one lock. For loose cargo, a protective net can be applied first, then locked at the opening with the smart lock.
